Dallas Leadership Foundation (DLF) is a Christian non-profit organization founded in 1995 that serves as a bridge to connect diverse peoples, churches, and organizations energized by the love of Christ.  Its mission is to equip individuals for the task of rebuilding disadvantaged communities by connecting resources to communities in need. Hence, those living in disenfranchised neighborhoods are being equipped to transform their communities from the inside out.  Dallas Leadership Foundation is committed to the vision of Dallas being a "city of hope" for all its citizens.

“We at Dallas Leadership Foundation have been blessed to have a relationship with Steven Bolos and United Renovations. This goes far beyond the corporate and non-profit partner relationship. Under Steven’s leadership, United Renovations has worked beside DLF and other Community Partners to bring resources and hope to underserved communities. Steven has always answered the call when asked to serve. It is easy to say you are committed to the aid of your neighbor, but United Renovations puts those words into action by giving love and support across this City. Thank you United Renovations.”…Al Smalley, Dallas Leadership Foundation

"Dallas Leadership Foundation has advanced its outreach to urban youth by launching an innovative boxing mentorship project. Youth living in the inner city will receive boxing instruction from professional trainers while being coached on moral living by godly mentors. The 'Ring Of Hope Boxing Club' will be the largest boxing gym for inner city youth and the only one of its kind in Dallas. Through this unique project, Dallas Leadership Foundation is counteracting the negative influences facing teenagers who live in economically disadvantaged areas of the city. Areas known to have widespread unemployment, high crime rates, and visible drug traffic are specifically targeted." Dallas' own Roberto Marroquin trains at this facility as well.

Hours: Monday through Friday, 5PM - 8PM

Phil Taylor’s artistic ability was recognized at an early age. With limited formal training and being primarily self-taught, his unique portraiture style arose through a combination of other artistic influences and self-development.

His heart and talent were put to the test when a childhood friend, Captain Blake Russell, was killed in Iraq in 2006. In his effort to help the family in their overwhelming grief, he painted a portrait of Blake as a gift. When his father received the painting, he called Phil in tears and said, “I truly feel that my son’s presence has returned home.” Mr. Russell’s reaction was confirmation that the paintings were a way to bring comfort and peace to a grieving family. From that moment Phil and his wife, Lisa, knew their lives had changed and they began The American Fallen Soldiers Project.

With a deep conviction to bring comfort and hope to the mourning families of our fallen military men and women, The American Fallen Soldiers Project’s mission is to honor and forever remember those who have sacrificed their lives protecting our freedom while serving in our Armed Forces. As a 501(c)3 organization they provide at no cost to the families an exquisitely framed original portrait of their fallen loved one that fully captures their appearance and personality. Upon completion, the painting is personally presented to the family during a special memorial event designed to honor the fallen, honor the family, and help remind the community of the sacrifices made for our freedom.

The effort to memorialize America’s fallen through Phil Taylor’s portraits has been recognized by President George W. Bush, Texas Governor Rick Perry, U.S. Congressman Sam Johnson, and many others. Phil has also recently received recognition as the recipient of the 2011 AMVETS Silver Helmet Award in Americanism.

Living for Zachary is a non profit organization with a mission dedicated to saving young lives from sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). The organization was founded in honor of Zachary Schrah, who was only 16 years old when he collapsed during a high school football practice in Plano on April 2, 2009. After Zachary’s death, the Living for Zachary Organization was established to raise awareness of undiagnosed heart issues in teens.

THE HEART HOSPITAL Baylor Plano understands the importance of cardiac testing in the prevention of SCA. The physicians and executive at Baylor know that detection and correction of heart anomalies early in life can not only help prevent SCA in youth, but can improve the overall vascular health as adults. THE HEART HOSPITAL has introduced a low-cost screening program for youth 12 to 22 years old. Milestone Church In 2001, Pastor Jeff Little began dreaming of starting a church with a simple desire to see people enter into a relationship with Jesus and see lives built on the foundation of the Bible. The dream was to start a church that was life-giving, spirit-filled and would emphasize reaching people and building lives. Now in its 7th year, more than 1,500 people currently attend the weekend services, offering contemporary, biblically driven worship services that are alive with energy and creativity.

Family Legacy Missions International, their flagship ministry is Camp LIFE which brings Americans over to teach, lead and show the love of Christ to the orphans of Zambia. The camp serves more than 10,000 orphans throughout the summer and around 500 American “Ambassadors” come to lead small groups of 10-20 kids. When the Americans return home they become ambassadors for the Zambian children as they seek out friends and family members to sponsor each child in their small group through their second ministry, Father’s Heart.
